Konser Kebangsaan

aroengBinang.org - It's been a while that I haven't seen Leo Kristi performs on stage. Konser Kebangsaan will give me a good opportunity to refresh my memory about the musician and his patriotic songs. Hopefully he will give different experience to his loyal fans this time around.

As long as I remember, Leo Kristi has never been good on the stage. It seems to me that he didn't have strong will to make his admirers happy. People left the concert with plenty of forgiveness for him instead, while trying to retain all the good things on his recorded works.

It is quite unfortunate though that people can not find his inspirational works on music stores anymore. I believe that many of his music lovers, including me, would be willing to sponsor the production of the CDs, and to promote the songs to younger generations.

Nyanyian Fajar, Nyanyian Malam, Nyanyian Tanah Merdeka, Nyanyian Cinta are some of the albums that I have ever had. I lost them all with no traces left.

Leo Kristi fans are probably not many, but they are quite loyal. Even after more than twenty years, most of Leo Kristi's songs are still fresh in our memories.

Konser Kebangsaan will be held at Balai Sarbini, on Friday, August 24 evening featuring collaborative works of three artists: Butet Kertaredjasa, Jaduk Ferianto, and Leo Kristi. There will be other performers as well, such as Kua Etnika, Edo Kondologit, Syaharani, Sherina, Samuel, STIE Perbanas, and dances by Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiardjo.

The concert, organized by Perbanas and Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussudiardjo, will be directed by Butet and Jaduk. That is why I have a little hope that Leo Kristi will probably perform better with their assitance and direction.

I bought two tickets at Ibu Dibyo Cikini, Rp.100,000 each, the cheapest one. I like to have a seat far from the stage, as I usually can get the best atmosphere of the concert, and can take photos with angles I like most. Anybody wants to join me?
