Transportation in Jakarta

There are many options of Transportation in Jakarta. To visit tourist attractions in Jakarta, from out of town may fly to Soekarno-Hatta and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport. Cheap transport from Soekarno-Hatta is Damri Bus, available in all of the arrivals terminal. Another option is taking taxi. Train service from dan to airport may need another year to fully operate.

AKAP (Intercity) Bus enters Jakarta via Cikampek toll road, Jagorawi toll road, and Merak toll road. AKAP bus departs and stops at Pulogebang, Kampung Rambutan and Kalideres Bus Terminal. There are some other bus stops such as Rawamangun Bus Terminal. All bus terminals connected to TransJakarta Bus and other public transport within the city.

Traveling from Bandung there are various Jakarta - Bandung Shuttle Services. Bandung - Jakarta Train service is also available. Long range train services from out of town stop at Jatinegara, Manggarai, Gambir, Pasar Senen, Jakarta Kota, Tanah Abang, and Tanjung Priok Stations. The trains may depart and arrive at different stations.

For sea transport, Pelni ship passengers depart and arrive at the Nusantara Port Passenger Terminal of Tanjung Priok, and then may take taxi, bus or train at Tanjung Priok Railway Station to the destination in the city. Another option is city bus, metromini, Kopaja, microbus, and other public transportation. Jabodetabek Train Commuter Line become increasingly popular choice because it is inexpensive, fast, the stations are increasingly neat and clean, and the service was getting better.
