Just to remind everybody that today, Friday, November 23, the 9th Dji Sam Soe Super Premium Jak Jazz 2007 will be kicked off at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, and will continue entertaining jazz lovers until Sunday, November 25.
The international Jazz festival, initiated by musician Ireng Maulana, this time uses the theme of 'Paint The Town Jazz’, and is expected to draw more jazz enthusiasts than last year event.
Some of the performers, according to JakJazz official website, are familiar names such as Spyro Gyra (USA), Bugz in The Attic (UK), Monday Michiru (USA) who was at JakJazz also last year, Don Grusin (USA), Bill Sharpe (UK), Tetsuo Sakurai (Jepang), Ze Paulo Becker & Bernardo Aguiar (Brazil), Shionoya Satoru (Jepang), Pierrick Pedron (France), Joona Toivanen Trio (Finland) and some other musicians.
Famous local jazz musicians will also surely be there, such as Idang Rasjidi, Bubi Chen, Ireng Maulana & friends featuring Andien – Warna, Syaharani & The Queenfireworks, Tompi, Budjana, Tohpati, Elfa’s Big Band & Voices and more.
